Sandhill Crane on The 400 Trail

Typically when I come across a sandhill crane that is walking along a road or trail it will eventually fly away when I get within 25 feet. This time it was a little different. As I got closer and closer to the crane I realized that the reason why it didn't fly away was because it had a youngster under its wing.
